Here at SoBakeable, we’re very resourceful! So we use our tools & equipment for all sorts of things you’d never expect! Here are 3 ways you can use your muffin tin that you might not have thought of!
Mini tarts & pies
A super convenient way to make a batch of mini pies & tarts is with your muffin tin! You can make beautiful tarts by layering phyllo pastry, alternating in direction to form a gorgeous flower, puff pastry or shortcrust on the inside of your muffin tin. This makes your pies super easy to fill, just be careful when you’re removing them.
Another trick is to turn your tin upside-down & cover the bottom of each muffin holder with pastry to form upside-down tart cases. You won’t be able to fill these in the tin, but it’s perfect to create the base of your tart.
Use your muffin tin to make adorable little cinnamon or chocolate scrolls. Roll up your dough with the filling inside & slice into pieces slightly taller than your muffin tin. Place each in the muffin tin to rise. The muffin tin will make sure your scrolls keep their shape & turn out beautifully!
Making a batch of mini cheesecakes has never been easier! To make it super simple, you don’t have to worry about the biscuit base. Using a single cookie at the bottom of the cheesecake (like an Oreo) makes it so easy for you to remove the cheesecakes from the tray when they are ready!
Easy, no fuss baking with all of the sweet reward! Give it a try 🙂
